Mark the weekly candle before you open the day

A practical habit for multi-timeframe chart reading: write the weekly bias and invalidation before any intraday work.

Most timeframe conflict starts in the first five minutes of the morning. The daily chart looks clean, the lower frame offers a quick scalp, and the weekly story is never written down.

A short ritual

  1. Open only the weekly chart.
  2. Mark the last confirmed swing and the price that would invalidate it.
  3. Write one sentence: bullish, bearish, or two-sided with a condition.
  4. Only then open the daily.

If the daily opportunity fights that sentence, the correct multi-timeframe answer is usually patience, not a clever indicator.

What we see in class

Students who keep this ritual for four weeks report fewer midday reversals of opinion. The weekly mark does not predict the open — it constrains which daily ideas are allowed on the desk.
